Meet the Therapist
Valerie Ortega, LCSW (she / her)
License Number: LCSW28432
My approach is to start where you are through a safe, supportive, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental environment. I believe my client's are the expert on themselves and my role is to help you navigate that expertise in a way that helps you have more control over your overall level of happiness in life. We do this through building a genuinely meaningful therapeutic relationship.
Through this collaborative approach, we will explore how to manage, cope and grow when life gets difficult. During our work together I check in regularly to ensure our work together is still working for you and we will make adjustments together accordingly.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and have been working in mental health for over fifteen years. I have worked with children, adolescents, families, adults and couples throughout my career as an LCSW. I am also LGBTQIA+ affirming.
